HERESY HUNTERS vs THE HOLY SPIRIT     (# 26)

Paul warned the Corinthians to beware of “deceitful workers”. If there were deceitful workers then, there are deceitful workers now. Amen? Paul warned the elders of Ephesus, “I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.” If there were savage wolves then, there are savage wolves today. Amen?

Q: What are “deceitful workers”? A: Deceitful workers are “savage wolves”. Q: What are “savage wolves”? A: Savage wolves are deceitful workers.      Q: What do these spiritual tyrants want? A: They want “to draw away the disciples [of Christ] after themselves”. Q: Why? A: Prestige and money.

Prestige. Paul to the Galatians: “They desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in the flesh.” “They” were Jews, perhaps born-again Jews, church leadership. Their trophy was the people they conquered. Today every pulpit-person enjoys the same prestige. He is titled, envied, exalted. Little congregation, little prestige; hefty congregation, hefty prestige.

Money. Every sunday “deceitful workers” (“savage wolves”) collect money from their disciples, those they have drawn away from Jesus. It was their love of money that ushered in the awful evangelical tithe. (Luke: “The Pharisees…. were lovers of money.”)

Q: How extensive is the domination of  “deceitful workers”?  A: Extremely extensive. Almost every born-again christian reading these words has become a follower of one of thousands of “deceitful workers” within evangelicalism. To them I say, “You were once disciples of Jesus Christ, but no longer. You can identify the ones you follow by identifying the ones you obey. Obeying Christ is obeying His Bible; obeying christians is obeying “commandments of men”. The Holy Spirit is calling you ‘home’, back to First Love.”
