Jesus Christ vs the Evangelical Tithe
# 15: Foolish is the man who trusts the scientist (or non-scientist) who promotes the theory of evolution. How can anyone have confidence in those who believe that something evolved out of nothing? Such scientists have fully displayed their inability to be reasonable and impartial. Common sense has no residence in such (supposed) scholars and they disqualify themselves as worthy of our trust…. this despite their impressive credentials and appellations. Likewise….
Foolish is the evangelical who trusts in ministers who believe the Bible teaches him/her to relinquish 10% of his income to a local church. How can anyone have confidence in pastors, teachers, etcetera who shamelessly manipulate Scripture to make it say something that Jesus never said (and something no New or Old Testament writer has said)? Such ‘ministers’ have fully displayed their inability to be reasonable and impartial. Like the evolutionists, common sense has no residence in such (supposed) scholars and they disqualify themselves as worthy of our trust…. this despite their impressive credentials and appellations.
Common sense should tell the evangelical that if God wanted His instructions to the the Israelite farmers (to direct 10% of their increase to the Levite priests) to be somehow revised to accommodate the evangelical religion and evangelical religionists He would have said so. Wouldn’t He?
