Jesus Christ vs the Evangelical Tithe

# 37: Many reading this series of articles – Jesus Christ vs the Evangelical Tithe – like what they read but hesitate to LIKE. Many itch to respond but are hesitant to COMMENT. They want Facebook friends to read the articles but hesitate to SHARE. This hesitancy is evidence of  powerful peer pressure from the bunch they bunch with.

A Jehovah Witness: “It is better to be united in error than divided over truth.” This bizarre conviction is actually predominate within evangelicalism (and every other religion), although few evangelicals would admit it even to themselves. Could this tendency to place unity over truth explain why evangelicals hesitate to LIKE, COMMENT and SHARE any and all Facebook postings challenging evangelical traditions?

Peer pressure is the teen-ager’s scourge, and most find no escape when evolving into adults. To fit in, to be accepted and approved – these are (supposed) treasures that keep the catholic catholic, the mormon mormon and the evangelical evangelical.
