Q & A : Another (Tall?) Tale
Q: What’s this tale about?
A: It’s about you and your neighbour.
Q: Like really? Is my neighbour a christian?
A: He is, but you’re not.
Q: Don’t like this. Does he preach to me?
A: After some persistence he leads you to Jesus.
Q: So all is bliss, right?
A: Not quite. Your neighbour is a control freak.
Q: Oh-oh. He wants to control my christianity?
A: He coerces you to walk his walk, talk his talk.
Q: And if I allow that?
A: You cannot be both man-controlled and
Spirit-controlled.
Q: Got it. So what’s the point of this tale?
A: Your local church is like your neighbour.
Q: Oh? Both are control freaks?
A: More than influence, they want to control.
Q: How does church gain control of one’s
christianity?
A: By making him/her dependent on them….
spiritually and socially.
Q: So what’s the answer?
A: Galatians 5:11: “Stand fast…. in the liberty
by which Christ has made us free, and do not
be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. ______________________
