Q: Why do you say pastors are territorial?
A: It was the pastor who decided who preached
last sunday.
Q: And?
A: And he chose himself.
Q: And?
A: He decided himself all the previous sundays.
Q: That makes him territorial?
A: Continually occupying (not sharing) the pulpit is
being territorial.
Q: Why doesn’t he share the pulpit?
A: His lords would frown upon that.
Q: His lords?
A: The denominational officers who placed him.
Q: Are there other reasons?
A: Sharing the pulpit would be sharing the prestige,
the honour, the glory, the attention.
Q: Does the pulpit cause elitism?
A: An un-shared pulpit causes elitism.
Q: Always?
A: Always.
