A: John 17:3: “This is eternal life, that they may know
[about] You…. and [about] Jesus Christ whom You have
sent.”
Q: Powerful! Did you read that somewhere?
A: “The Divine Conquest”, A.W. Tozer,
Q: Do religionists strive to know Christ or know about
Christ?
A: Religionists are content to know about Christ.
Q: Don’t born-agains already know Christ?
A: Paul knew Christ and yet his burden was “that I might
know Him”.
Q: Why did Paul want to know the One he already knew?
A: Amplified: “That I may know Him [experimentally,
becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding
the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely].”
Q: But shouldn’t we also know about Christ?
A: Knowing about Christ should make us hungry to become
“more thoroughly acquainted with Him”.
Q: Should Paul’s passion to “know Him” be our passion?
A: Christianity should be a passionate pursuit of Jesus Christ.
